I can use one word to summarize why Napoleon grills are so special.
Value.
Whether you are looking at the Freestyle, Rogue, Prestige or Pro Prestige, each Napoleon product line offers more features at better price points than its competition.
The Rogue series (made in China) competes with the Weber Genesis grills. If you have been in a store where they have Rogue and Genesis near one another, you can easily see the difference in build quality. Then look at the features. The Rogue (pro series) has:
The Weber Genesis series does not offer these features. And depending on the model, it's in a similar price point as the Rogue.
While the days of the Napoleon Prestige P500RSIB_SS grill costing $1299 are long gone, there is still great value to be had in the Prestige Series. The newer P500VR model which replaced the aforementioned Prestige P500 offers:
The P500VR is $1899 and the P665VR is $2699.
You can compare these to the Coyote C series 34" on cart which is made in China and costs in the mid $2000's.
The Napoleon Pro Prestige line is our best selling series of Napoleons. The sales are predominantly the Pro500 and Pro665 models. At $2699 and $3899 these grills provide more value than the entry level high end grills they compete with.
Let's look at the Pro665 which would compete with a 42" Lynx Sedona.
The Pro665 costs $3899.
The Sedona costs $5818 (less 10% if Lynx promo is still available)
I'll take the $2000 difference and either pocket it or use some of the money to buy a smoker like a Primo ceramic grill as an adjunct to the Napoleon Pro665.
And that' s exactly what I did, only purchasing a Pro500 instead of the Pro665 because of spacing on my deck.
